An Explanation

Dearest Friends, A number of you have approached me and asked why I haven't blogged for a while. Although I am very touched that you still visit this site and keep an eye on my musings, as it were, I must apologise for not updating this minuscule corner of the Internet wherein I am permitted to inhabit. Those of you who know me personally are aware that I am currently going through some pretty challenging issues in my personal life, which I do not wish to discuss on this platform. Suffice to know that I am, Thank G-d in good health and very positive about the future. I promise that I will return here and resume one of my favourite hobbies (i.e. writing) when I am at liberty to do so. Please bear with me and know that you are not forgotten. The Lord above works in mysterious ways and right now, I am gaining some solace from the knowledge that whatever He prescribes for my future will be only for the best. Shalom and keep smiling. Council Tax

A proposed council tax-evaluation policy will mean reassessment of current house values which will mean they will charge us more if we live in a nice area. That ought to mean discounts for those of us who live in rough areas. There is a huge house in our street. The extended family is run by a grumpy old woman with a pack of irritable dogs allowed to run without leads. Her car isn't taxed or insured and doesn't even have a number plate, but the police still do nothing . To the best of my knowledge, she has never worked. Her bad-tempered old man is notorious for racist comments. A shopkeeper blamed him for arranging the murder of his son and his son's girl-friend, but nothing has been proved. All their kids have broken marriages except the youngest, who everyone thought was gay. Two grandsons are meant to be in the Army but are always out partying in nightclubs. It is not known if they have the same father. They are out of control. I hate living near Windsor Ca...
